I installed the QTReader plugin for TMPGEnc and the video was converted okay. However the mp2 audio file so generated did not have any sound when played back in PowerDVD.
Then I extracted the audio by EO Video and encoded the PCM wave file into mp2. This time the mp2 had sound but was not sync with the movie.
I believe the fps for the movie was NTSC 29.97 and I was keeping the NTSC.
Can anyone suggest how to fix the problems?

I'm not sure 3ivx are exactly the same than real quictime movies.
You should use them via directshow handler of tmpgenc (or a directshowsource command if you use an avs script).

Do a research on the forum with "3ivx", the problem was already disscussed.
