DVD2SVCD uses (and I think TOK too) runbbmpeg.exe, a DOS or cmd program that calls BBMpeg. Its command line is (as I know it):
Quote:
"runbbmpeg.exe C:\xyz.mpg"
This opens BBMpeg in second screen (multiplexing screen before settings screen), log shows
Quote:
"C:\xyz.mpg"
as PS.
I want to know:
1 - How can I send to BBMpeg the AS source name and the VS source name.
2 - How can I tell it that begin multiplexing automatically. (like DVD2SVCD and TOK do)

Thank you.

Do a complete work with dvd2svcd and you will find the command used in the log file.

DVD2SVCD provide a VS and a AS to bbmpeg. The command line is stored into the log.

Or ask to someone that use DVD2SVCD to post one.

EDIT: I see in the readme file of the next release that DVD2SVCD WILL SUPPORT QENC !

I already saw the logs, but how can we parse AS and VS names to BBMpeg?

As I told you the command line is in the log.
If the command line doesn't parse the name of the sources then it's surely stored in the ini file that is also generated by DVD2SVCD

And then DVD2SVCD will be a completely free quality solution for backing up AVI & DVD to other formats. Looking forward to its release.

DVD2SVCD's structured user interface is far cry for regular users.
DVD2SVCD is an excelent program, but will never see the light on "every user's desktop", because it's too complex. It's really for us "geeks", but not for the regular "Joe" user.
DIKO and other "higher level" and simpler and easier programs will superseed DVD2SVCD in useability and functionality.
DVD2SVCD would require a complete user interface design, and I don't think that will happen ( at lease not soon, anyway ).

It also need to be redesigned in its concept. Currently you need 40GB of disc space to convert a DVD.
Other instance : the tool extract audio with internal subtoutine (takes some minutes) and then use DVD2AVI to do the d2v. Don't ask why the audio can be done during this opertation

Oh... and it habe to be redesigned also for the CQ part. He never find the correct CQ and often try twice or more time the same CQ value !

Lot of things to be fixed...
