Problems after multiplexing

Hi,

I thought I'd try KVCD last night. I converted the video with MencodeME, and did the audio with Headac3he. I was only trying to convert a 12 min .avi file, but in MencodeME I set the video lentgh to 110 mins so that I could fit 9 of these 12 min episodes on one CD. It converted fine. The video was about 60-70mb and the 128k audio was a few meg big. Then I used TMPGEnc to multiplex the files and the file size shot up to over 200mb. Should it grow that much after a multiplex? cos I can't fit 9 200mb files on one CD :(

If you have tmpgenc 2.59, you should to change it. 2.59 has a bug related to final size (to big). Also you can try to multiplex with bbmpeg and test if such final size is related to your mpgenc program.

what should tmpgenc 2.59 be changed to?

I just tried TMPGEnc 2.58.44.152 as well, and that does the same thing. Am I doing the whole KVCD thing right by using MencodeME to make a .mpv?

@ Drew: Don't forget to multiplex with bbmpeg or with mplex.

@ WOWIEGURL: tmpgenc 2.59 has a bug. Use the forum search tool.

I tried a few different versions of TMPGEnc, and all of them did the same, so I tried bbmpeg and it worked fine. Thanks a lot Prodater64 :D

Edit: Hmm...after testing I found out that it's not quite all fine. There is no audio when played back on the DVD player, but the audio is there on the PC.

Edit2: Got that working now two :)
