I have a divx with framerate 29.99

What I have to do for to make a kdvd?

Have I to use in the last line of the script:

Assumefps (29.97)?

and for the audio?

Thankx

- possibility that you will have to try in order to find which one give the best result :

- AssumeFPS + a change in the sound with besweet (29900 -> 29700)

- ChangeFPS + nothing special to do in the sound.

ok, thank you very much, phil

I think that the 2nd way is much easiest! :D

Yes but as it deletes (in your case) or creates (when going from 23.976 to 25 for insances) frames in the video stream, the result can be jerky or "ghosty".

the first way instead as does not add or removes nothing must not have effects collaterals. :D

It's all right?

I wanted to let you discover all the details but you don't have Indiana Jones spirit :-)

So : in besweet there is 2 ways to change the speed in the audio : the old -ota() option and the new soundtouch().

I fear the last one can't really do such little change as 29900 -> 29700. And I never use the new one.

So, let's try Indy ;-)

in order now I want to go on the sure one.
Unfortunately I do not have never time in order to make new experimentations (of other part I would like to learn to use mencoder, but for time lack, I am not successful to install still null).

Yes of course. I didn't check the orignal post as I'm struggling with a Solaris workstation that accept only a very old Netscape 4.7. Surfing the forum is very touchy ;-)

so 29.99 = 29990 and 29.97 = 29970.
