standard VCD and KVCD (non-Standard) with the same results?
Hi Everyone,
Probably a simple fix that I just am to retarded to figure out, but here goes. When I use Tmpgenc to Mux the audio and vid together, my resulting mpg always ends up over a gig. The original audio is only 116 Mb and the vid, encoded at the lowest CQ I want to go, 95 Mb. I have tried choosing standard VCD and VCD (non-Standard) with the same results. Any ideas? Once I get it figured out, of course I'll increase the CQ using CQmatic, I just wanted to go extreme small to see if I could get it around 800Mb... Thanks, Dominik |
Tmpegenc 2.59 ?
|
Yes, using TMPGenc v2.59.47.155

You are using the only version that is bugged in size of file produced in VCD mode ;-)
Use any prior or after version and all will be okay :-D |
Wow, just my luck! Thanks a bunch for the info. I was getting pretty frustrated here. It doesn't help that I am trying to do all this on my laptop with limited HD space available, lol. I'm sure once I get back home and have the monster to work on life will be much sweeter.
Thanks a bunch for the advice... Cheers, Dominik |
Another size question.
I have several "The three stooges" episodes. They are about 160-190MB, in avi format. How I do know what is the ideal (and the minimum reliable) mpeg size, or mpeg bitrate for those?

Don't you know that the only relevant things to answer that are the resolution you want AND the length of the videos ? What happens to you man ? :-D |
