@anyone,

I have a friend who's business webpage is not processing credit card
orders. I contacted the company who created the domain and website.
Orders are processed thru Authorize.Net via this webpage. I find out
from my friend that this stop working 3 years ago (she's not technical).
In trying to help her I contacted the company who set everything up
and they claimed it was now being maintained by a person with his
own personal web developement business ,but my friend still pays
this company. Is it possible to figure out via the internet who is main-
taining the domain and website. The web developer and the company
are giving her the run-around about fixing the website

What you need is known as a "whois" service.

A lot of site provides this service freely 5I suggest you to use the one of the internic taht is the authority in charge on domain attribution) :
