i finaly got to watch Matrix revolutions, but i didn't like it much, reloaded gave us so much hope that revolutions will be the climax but it was crap it was like they didn't put much thought into it and just put together a few stories and finished it, did anyone else think the same, i loved the first matrix it'll never be beaten, do you think they'll make another matrix now that the machines are at peace with the humans?

Actually I felt the same way, I hated the movie when I first saw. But after reading some comments in imdb.org I realised I was missing some points, so I decided to watch the whole trilogy again. What I haven't done yet.

The first Matrix was a science fiction movie, and in my opinion it almost reaches perfection. The other two movies were action movies... but they completely lost the point.

Don’t get me wrong… I loved Revolutions (and Reloaded too), the battle inside Zion is astonishing! And I think Matrix 2 and 3 are some of the best action movies that ever I saw, but as I said, they lost the point and didn’t get close to the first movie.

TGIF everyone...

hay muaddib pal

I agree w/ you. The first Matrix is superb It can not be touched

When I watched the 2nd (sequal) to the first, (I rented it for $3.75) I though,
first, the quality of the source, IMO, was better than the first. The first seemed
to have more noise, though still good quality mind you. But, I did notice
that the 2nd dvd had a little better quality - less noise. Anyways, I though
then, that in the 2nd one, it was loosing focus of "orginality". I started to
wonder if the 3rd one would be worse, or turn out to be a bomb. Anyways,
I ended up watching the rental one more time before I returned it. Then,
one of my co-workers got it for me for my b-day along with "Finding Nemo"
To date, I have not cracked opended the seal to the dvd gift. But, I suppose
I will. But as for the 3rd one, well.., in worse case, it might make for a fair
Trilogy 1-DVD "kdvd" project.

In fact, this experience is SOO parrelle to "Austin Power" the 1st one was
perfecto "originality". The 2nd one of good (better than Matrix's 2nd) and
the 3rd Austin Powers was just hanging on to a thin thread of boringness.
.
.
Another kit for 1-DVD "kdvd" project too for whenever I get the chance
to do it.

Hay muaddib, I'm really glad to see you around,
even if its for a moment pal.

Cheers to you, and everyone else too,
-vhelp

@ kwag and vhelp
I was really missing you all and the forum. Kind of nostalgic (that’s the closest word to “saudades” I could find)... “forumsick” if I can say that. Thank you very much for the welcome. I’m really glad to see you around.

@ vmesquita
Hey... I was pretty sure that we did meet before! Didn’t we?
Anyway, the honor is mine, and thank you for the welcome!

@ all
I’ll try to find more time to be around here, and start coding MovieStacker again.
I read some posts at MovieStacker/Avisynth forums that are kind of angry with it not been updated. But as I said before, MovieStacker is a hobby for me, and lately I haven’t had much time to deal with hobbies. So please don’t be angry with me if MovieStacker is not been updated as you want, because it is not the way I want too. Anyway, I’ll (at least) try to make it compatible with AVS2.5 and MA script.

See you arround!

Holy sh!t...
Muaddib is back!!!
Man we were very concerned with you and Jorel for a while.
Hope you have been visiting us once in a while otherwise we won't hear from you during a month.
That's more or less the time you'll take to catch up on the forum right now
Good to hear from you bom carnaval !!
Cheers

EDIT: If you ever get time for an update on MS please be aware that shh has updated the
calculations on FitCD. I am currently using it since MS hasn't been updated. But I'm
sure I'll get back to MS as soon as it's compliant with avs 2.5x. Also nice to see Portuguese
speaking guys coding for KVCD

Hi rds_correia!
Glad to see you here!

Could you point me what calculations FitCD has updated?
I tried “FitCD_v112” and even “FitCD_v113pre1” but didn't find any calculation update. I saw no update in the way it calculates the resize, or the avg bitrate, or cd space, or audio, or the frame count (it still buggy).

I agree Matrix Revolutions was really disappointing and confusing in parts.

The original is still the best, I agree with muaddib the 2nd and 3rd movies were more action movies than Sci-Fi like the original was.

Having said that I did like the action sequences in no.2 especially with all those Mr Smiths awesome.

No.3 was like Attack Of The Clones a Love Story and hence to most of us guys BORING! Lol.

I really did expect more from Revolutions but I found it to be the weakest of the Trilogy, having said that im still buying it as i need it to complete my DVD collection.

Am I the only one who actually liked Revolutions better than the second one?
Well the first one is the best, I agree on that. But I just found the second one WAAY to confusing. I'm not one of the people who cannot concentrate on a movie for more than 5 minutes, but that part really was a little over my head. I did read some of the discussions about it on imdb.com, but I still think the two guys who made the film (sorry can't remember the names) just thought: " let's make a movie for some freaks where they can talk about for days, and where we leave about 100.000 questions unanswered..."
It was a good action movie... so was the third one. with less confusing elements in it!

The one thing going for Matrix 2, is the actual "quality" of the dvd video. It
was better than the first one (IMO) but that's about it.

You just can't touch #1, period !! ..and, this is a movie I can watch over and
over again - it was done just so well (orginally speaking)

OT.. OT.. Hay, do they have the first Matrix on LD ??
I'd sure love to add that one to my newly found LD hobby collection. I'm adding
Star Sars (original and SE versions)

Later guys,

Hello, personal!
First time that I visit that part of the forum.

Well, for me Matrix is the best trilogy that you/they already did! But really revolutions left to want for me. He/she would like a more surprising end... more exaggeratedly magnificent as it was the central idea as a whole.

However, he/she has some details well " discreet " that taste a lot of commenting on that it is the youth's words that he/she opened the gate so that the niobe ship and company could arrive Zion. He said: " I believe NEO "!. That and the one that he said in matrix 2 (reloaded) they revealed that he is the same youth of the animatrix skate, because the same said the same sentence before playing of the building and to be captured outside of the matrix

Another thing is the delivery of a correspondence in animatrix in the episode " Osiris' " final flight that the same envelope is received by Ghost (or Niobe) in the game " The enter Matrix "

Those details, and other, they show as the films were done interlaced as if they were an only one, a single history... Together with the reference to a Faith that made the great difference so that what was pre-destined came to happen, added to the philosophical paradox and the highest style of movements and the characters' model composing this real history, that it is to our circuit and inside of us and at the same time fictitious, extremely meticulous and high intellect!
