PhpBB error

Can someone retrieve the page 43of this thread ?
http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5145

I continuously obtain this : "No posts exist for this topic"

The browsing seems to stop at the end of page 42, but i just add a message so I can tell you that there ARE messages on page 43 :-)

Hi Phil :),
I get exactly the same message.
Maybe a splitted/removed thread due to AVI talking :?:
I mean, if you split a thread and then you remove the splitted portion, what happens when you look at the original thread?
Though it shouldn't show page numbers of pages already in another thread right?
Karl  :?:
Cheers

That is not the problem : I had a message today and normally you can read your message few seconds after you entered it. I can't !
Noone splitted that thread. I fear this is a limitation on the number of post in a thead.

I'm not sure we reached that value.

Hi,

Same problem here: no post exist for this topic...
I think this one is the largest topic of this forum, so it could be some sort of php limits...

Hi Fabrice :)
You have never seen the CQ vs CQ_VBR thread, have you

Dialhot 12-06-2004 09:04 AM

This thread has only 42 pages ;-)

rds_correia 12-06-2004 09:12 AM

I was kidding with Fabrice, but guess what: cq vs cqvbr thread is also 42 pages long
Maybe Fabrice is right after all :?
Cheers

It seems you do not understand me at all from the begining then :-)

I opened the current thread BECAUSE this is the first time a thread reaches the page 43 and I can't access it. When I said "this thread has 42 pages" I was talking about the CQ vs CQ_VBR age. It WAS the largest one before today.

Fabrice is surely right as he is just saying what I am saying from the start :-D

Then I owe you both an apology
I just made the mistake because I was almost sure cq vs cqvbr was >50 pages long :?
So it seems it's down to a phpBB/mySQL problem, right?
Perhaps the DB just needs to runs some optimizing taks...
Or maybe an upgrade to pphpBB...
We're still using 2.0.8. I've seen some boards using 2.0.11.
I thought Karl didn't upgrade because this one would be more stable.
Anyway sorry guys.
Cheers

No problemo.

kwag 12-06-2004 11:10 AM

I just ran a database repair, and also a resync on that forum.
The problem is still there.
It appers that there's a page 43, but there's not :!:
I just posted a test post there, and it appeared after Phil's post on page 42.
Then I deleted the post.
So I guess if we keep posting there, it will still show on page 42 up to a point.
I'll look more into this later today.

Thanks guys,
-Karl

Thanks Karl :).
You now, me, Phil and Fabrice, we thought about opening up a thread that will most surely have more than 100 pages.
That why we're worried :rotf:
Cheers

kwag 12-06-2004 11:28 AM

fabrice 12-06-2004 01:24 PM

Well, I was thinking about a more than 200 pages thread... but we can first begin with only 100 ! :)

rds_correia 12-06-2004 04:46 PM

That's the spirit, fabrice

The forum configuration had 16 pages per thread. I changed it to 18 to see what happens after several posts :)
