We practically grew up with Tommy's Original Burgers in LA.
Haven't found any other chilli burgers or fries like at Tommy's.
If you've ever been to or live in Southern California, you Know, what I'm saying. Chilli, phat ridez, babes.

What are some of your favorite chilli (or hang-out spots for that matter) places? If your place in the world has a claim to the best chilli in the region post the url. If they mail order, even better.

I'm going to capture the live cam feed and vcd it---with Kwag's template of course..

Often Imitated,

I wonder how Tommy's Original Chilli Burgers would taste
with Kwag's modified GOP structure?

Ohh I don't know, I was very biased to "Jolly Jug" and there was also
"Nappys" on Topanga, and if there was absolutely nothing else, "El Pollo Loco" but there's a terriffic place on Malibu, as soon as I can remember the name I'll send it your way. Ofcourse you always have "El Torito" gotta go getting hungry... :P

I've heard of Nappys, never been though. El Pollo Loco was kick azz when they first started, just like the Green Burrito in La Cañada. Now, its King Taco, carne asada,,,and my second fave Carl's Jr....

LunchTime....

Carl's Jr. is ok with me! you're right about the Pollo Loco thing, I've never been to la cañada, by the way are you in Thousand Oaks? because that's a greate place! But for carne asada I still stick to El Torito or "The Acapulco"
let me know if you go check them out, by the way how's your taste in seafood?
see ya! hungry again

Hey zooter:

I have a question:

What does "el mero zooter" mean?

Is it a fish ( that's what a mero is in spanish ).

And what about the zooter? Is it something about a scooter?

Or is it, in spanish, a "disparate" ?

I bet it has nothing to do with fish, "el mero" also means "el mismo" in spanish,
who's right?

Depending on the spanish 'dialect' Fish is called many things. Mero could be one of them, though I've never heard it.
Usually it is "Pes" or 'Pescado' Pes refers to the fish when it is alive. Pescado refers to it when its been caught, cleaned up and ready to sell/eat,, basically when the lil fu*@er is dead.

M,
I have friends in T.Oaks, and used to kick it in Northridge. I'm in Ontario now. Used to live right in North LA, up by Atwater. I'm Highly allergic to shellfish, fish of any kind. But love going to San Pedro, kickin' it at the pier, Marina Del Rey, Zuma, Huntington Beach and Hermosa. Venice is a must. My boss keeps talking about El Torito, and some place up north El Burro. I try to stay away from Tako Bell and any Lengua from 'the Truck'. . Del Taco's portions are getting smaller too. Bob's Big Boy, when there's nothing else. There's a kick azz pupuseria in Ft. Lauderdale if ever in the area. But i'd still shoot Tommy's chilli intraveneously if i could, any day.

k,
El is obviously the pronoun 'he, his, him, or The when its a male noun' in spanish.

Mero means = main or main one. It could also mean 'Exact or Exactly'
In spanish, saying El Mero, {or El Mero Mero as it's more commonly expressed} translates to 'The Main One' 'The Main Man', 'The Head Honcho'.

Zooter, = refers to someone who wears a zoot suit, or is into the Zooter-lifestyle. Old lowrider bombas {1940's style cars, pre-merc lead sleds}, oldies, parties, dancing - swing or latin. One of these dayz i'll update my website with all-you-need-to-know about zoot suits and lowriderz,etc...
As soon as i hit the right gop'z...
So, El Mero Zooter translatez to The Main Zooter.

The url zooter.com does point to a scooter vendor, why? bafflez me too.

I still stick by el Torito for carne asada, but I suggest some of you, try Spago in Ca. or The Greenhouse in P.R. for the best shrimps with garlic sauce in the world, sorry mero I know you are allergic to sea food but I'm a sucker for it.
you can also try Tivoly in Alberta, for the best corned beef sandwich, try Ben's Kosher Deli in NY, or Lenny's Deli in Carmel CA.
You can also get a reaally slooopy burger in El hamburger" in PR
gotta go hungry,
seeya

if ever travelling to Canada, the place for burgers in Toronto, is Wimpy's Burgers. 50's, drive-in style joint.. Huge burgers...
In Montreal,,deli style meats, roast beef specially, the joint to hit is Dunn's.
