Talk about a headache...
hey im back with bad news :( I dont know where else i could post this
ok, i have this hard drive that was once a very flourishing and energetic drive, but one day my poor little drive died, unexplainably, and i got a new one and lost all files.. so heres the problem, i put it back into my comp. as a Primary Slave drive (2nd) and deleted the files off it for extra storage for AVIs, WAVs, MPEGs, MP2s, and etc..BUT everytime it read something off the drive it says file is corrupt or that it cant read it! What should I do?? format it or sumthin? Im lost here and not sure if this is the rightplace to post, but if anyone can help please, that would be great :) thanx  |
You could try reformatting it, and jorel posted a program for repairing damaged sectors of a hard disk here. I would try that first, then reformat it completely and then it should (hopefully) be fine.
(WARNING: Reformatting erases all data on a hard disk.) |
okay, thanx i will try it and get back to ya! :)
