Film noir
Does anyone like the old film noir movies? I think that Humphrey Bogart's The Maltese Falcon, Big Sleep and Key Largo are one of the best movies ever been made. That man sure had charisma.
I've always wanted to see D.O.A. (the original version) but I'd have to order it from overseas. Do you have any other suggestions? |
B,

@ boulder,
I didn't realize I had TCM and AMC channles in my new lineup. I was just finished watching the last few minues of Guys and Dolls 1955 Musical.. w/ Marlon Brando, Jean Simmons, Frank Sinatra (the boss) and in letterbox format and good quality to my surprise. I'm gonna have to check out this channel for more oldies. I did a few captures of this movie. I'm debating on posting it up here, but I'll try and squeeze in a 10mb if I can. (see below) They don't make these kinds of GREAT oldies, do they.. anymore ?? --> Samples.. Later guys. -vhelp |
Well, J.Lo and Ben Affleck want to do Casablanca again. Jesus Christ, where do they get these ideas? They really don't make classics like those old movies anymore.
I think that there are some Cagney movies on DVD. Check Cagney on IMDB and see the DVD list. I just ordered Psycho, Vertigo and Caine Mutiny from play.com. Next time I'll get some noirish clips too, due to tax issues you can't order many items at the same time. The restored Fritz Lang's Metropolis would be very interesting to see too. Now where do I get all the money to buy the movies :D |
