I have been producing backup (S)/VCD's for a couple of years now and always wondered why I couldn't find a technique to make a quality copy on a single disc. I had settled on the D2SRoba method and was pretty excited about the remarkably fast speeds and quality it produced (but 2 discs
). I discovered your website a couple of months ago and was a little skeptical. I read (and read...and read) inordinate amounts of info on this site and I managed to write a couple of scripts that I have tested for DVD and captured material which utilize the TMPGE templates (usually 352x480 DVD, 528x480 CAP). WOW. These are quality recordings. Last weekend I backed up 121 min. anamorphic movie that was damn close to what I could get out of a 2 disc encode with CCE.
With Dialhot based scripts, Kwag templates and Incredible's help with captures, I am producing superior looking movies on ONE CD.
I do have one question though. I have noticed that sometimes 64 is recommended instead of 300 as a min br. Can anyone explain this exception?
Thanks to all your hard work, me of little comprehension can reap the benefits at little expense.
