Can I place a sticker on a CD media?
What I´m wondering is if can I stick a label on my recorded CDs. I mean, specifically, one of those rectangle stickers that come in a A4 sheet to be printed.
I want to label my CDs with style :P I heard once (or read) that this might damage the CD drive in the long run(please consider both computer drives and music players, including a discman) maybe due to the unexpected non-symetric extra weight :?: Thanks for reading |
Before I labeled all my music CDs. But I began to have problems, messages as I don't know what "redundance error". After that, never labeled any other CDs and problems gone.

Yes, I saw that Stomper befor, but I just want to stick small rectangular stickers.
Prodater´s experience discourages to do so... I will look for technical information to decide what to do. |
the quality of the paint in the label have direct relation with the tranparence and bad medias with "delicate" paint is bad to use stickers...it can remove the protection and you loose that media.
resume.. depend of the media quality, the paint over the media, and the quality of the "stickers"....nothing more. |

 don't do like Pró, use good medias! |
Suggestion, but I haven't tried this :!:
Anybody who has ever done model airplanes (I did a lot on my teens days  ) could spray a thin coat of DOPE ( not pot, not the smoking one :rotf: ) I mean the one that is used after you put the paper on the balsa fuselage of the model planes, and this will protect the top layer of the CD/DVD. Or maybe women's hair laquer spray :?: After you do this, you're actually making your DVD/CDs waterproof  Really, i'm not kidding. Maybe it's worth a try  -kwag |
