leda$69/100
lead data$69/100

@digitalvideo,

I use Ritek DVD-R 4.7GB 100/$91. No coasters yet. Also check
http://www.vcdhelp.com and the Media discs. You can compare
your DVD-Rs with the results other are having. Most have only
good things to say about Ritek. Try http://www.rima.com
to get a good deal without any substitutes switches :)

well ritek is too expensive for me if it was 80 something then maybe i whywould u go with rima when other websites have free shipping?

kwag 02-06-2003 06:03 PM

@digitalvideo,

Rima.com was reported to be the most reliable with orders on VCDHelp.
Shiping is free with an order of 25 disc's or more from Rima. There are other
websites with lower prices, but some have a reputation for switching
your order with another brand. You burn it not knowing they switched
and then you believe that brand's no good. Check vcdhelp's DVD
Media section. Performance is a very important part and
there are good performers at below the $1 per disc. VCDHelp
is a good start to get reviews and comparisions of DVD media. I
settled for Ritek due to it relatively low price and excellent performance.
Primo was not as good performer and as low as 100/$84. :)

kwag could you do me a favor and check the disc u mentioned in your previous post with advdinfo or nero cd speed and post your results so i can find out what brand these discs are
oh and black prince i check the dvdr media reports on vcdhelp everyday i find they r inconsistant due to the "reputation for switching
your order with another brand" by some disc shops as u mentioned besides that ritek is having recent inconsistencies in their quality and higher prices than u mentioned http://www.rima.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=R&Product_Code= 1611&Category_Code=GU"Ritek due to it relatively low price and excellent performance.
Primo was not as good performer and as low as 100/$84"
by primo do u mean princo
i have no plans to get princo or anything made by princo

Does anybody know an online supplier that ships internationally (Australia)

The one you use Kwag doesnt but I am unsure about Rima.com.

Thanks

the supermediastore dvd-rs turned out to be dvd pro :( according to supermedia store(made by princo) these have been known to have great compatibility but retain data for only 6 months

anyone know of a UK site that sell cheap good quality dvd-r/rw's?

I have the same problem. Tried using forceaspi version 4.61 and
still get aspi error from advdinfo. I'd like to solve this problem since
it's a very useful tool. :)

black prince,
damn, that's a very good price so far.. $0.91 a disk. I though my
BJ's (5pk @ $13.99) = $2.80 per disk was cheap - oh wait, I'm
comparing DVD+R (RW) But still.. That's a damn good price.

kwag, darnnet.. you are having a ball.. .. That's even better!!

But, let me get this straight.. those are R's right ?? ..not RW's ??

@All,

For those having trouble getting Advdinfo to work:

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...light=advdinfo

In some cases your DVD (burner, ROM) may not be able to read
manufacture ID info using advdinfo, but DVD Decrypter (the latest
version) might. I've tested with DVD Decrypter and my Ritek
DVD-Rs are really Ritek's. Phew!! :) I have some Verbatims I want
to check next.
