Has anyone found this problem yet? I discovered that the FORD DVD player installed in the 2003 Expedition will ONLY play DVD's

What about other vehicles? Sad fact: it is a $1,200 option! So Ford puts a $40 DVD player and a $350 screen and charges $1,200

I think it's better to take along a small Panasonic portable player
That will play VCD's for sure.
There's also a new portable RCA player that I've seen at Radio Shack. Don't know if it will play VCD's or KVCD's though.

There is also the Mintek 1710 that plays your templates very well, kwag (not at 704 x 480 though). From Best Buy.

Wow! Forget DVD! We want KDVD players that play 8hrs etc etc

BTW, cool looking DVD player! I also saw a package deal (somewhere?) that had 2 screens hooked to the DVD player with 2 wireless headphones!

How do you hook it up in a vehicle so 2 kids can watch?

When flying I take my Dell laptop and 2 batts for 6 hrs of playing! Keeps the kids happy

Hey Reman, if you got lots of cash, you can go all out and a dvd player for the car that plays KVCD/KDVD and then go airplane style viewing with monitors in the headrests. That would be pimpin and the kids would love it. You could also hook it up with a PS2 to keep them entertained.

If you look at the panasonic headunit that kwag posted a picture of, There is an in-dash lcd. Perfect for watching wovies while you drive. Well, maybe. I take no responsibility if you happen to get in a wreck.
