AMSTRAD DX3016 VCD prob
I have a Amstrad dx3016 and it plays every ksvcd i have tryed (but normally I use 480x480) BUT now i have a 2 cd VCD which I didnt compile myself so I dont now any specs but I guess it's a standard VCD
I got it as a bin/cue but I burned it myself with nero, I tryed it on the DVD player I have and It doesnt play...it stays @ the main screen of the dvd player, but it does reconize a VCD 2.0 but doesnt play them, while on our other DVD player it DOES play..very weird..sombody know anything :?: |
Your player simply does not handle PBC (menu on VCD). You have to read the manual to find the way to disable it.
On my pioneer it is done by pressing "1" on the remote insteed of "play". |

You can still try the trick tha works on pioneer as it does the same things on other models (even if these don't need that because they don't have PBC problem).
Open the tray, put the disc and let the tray open. Press "1" on the remote. Generally that close the tray and start the reading of the first track, skiping the menu. |
to bad i tryed your trick, but nothing happens, it only closes on command "Open/Close"or "Play"and it gives the same prob. I just fladhed my firmware with the newest version (gives loads of extra compatiblaities and functions) but also that iddnt help the prob so I guess something is wrong with the disc and the other player is so old that is just sees a MPEG stream and booom he plays it without any menu or shit.
thkns for trying to help me dialhot! *(you always do, and most of the times with succes  )* |
