Car DVD players have POOR support for vcd and svcd ?
Has anyone found this problem yet? I discovered that the FORD DVD player installed in the 2003 Expedition will ONLY play DVD's
What about other vehicles? Sad fact: it is a $1,200 option! So Ford puts a $40 DVD player and a $350 screen and charges $1,200 :!: :!: |
I think it's better to take along a small Panasonic portable player :D
That will play VCD's for sure. There's also a new portable RCA player that I've seen at Radio Shack. Don't know if it will play VCD's or KVCD's though. -kwag |

BTW, cool looking DVD player! I also saw a package deal (somewhere?) that had 2 screens hooked to the DVD player with 2 wireless headphones! |

When flying I take my Dell laptop and 2 batts for 6 hrs of playing! Keeps the kids happy  |
Hey Reman, if you got lots of cash, you can go all out and a dvd player for the car that plays KVCD/KDVD and then go airplane style viewing with monitors in the headrests. That would be pimpin and the kids would love it. You could also hook it up with a PS2 to keep them entertained.
