My Rowa DVD-280 Standalone sucks.

Hi guys,

I did a little test using DIKO with a trailer off one of my DVD's at a resolution of 352 x 288 which im told is a standard DVD res.

However when I play it on my Mickey Mouse DVD Player the clip is shrunk to the top 3rd of my TV screen.

I tested this on my PC using WinDVD and it played perfect on that.

It looks like I have to upgrade and get rid of that old dinosaur.

352x288 is a standard DVD MPEG-1 resolution, but it isn't a standard DVD MPEG-2 resolution.

Allowable DVD resolutions, from MPUCoder's "differences between DVD and MPEG" page:

Quote:

Mpeg-1 352x240 (NTSC) or 352x288 (PAL/SECAM) Mpeg-2 720x480, 704x480, 352x480 (NTSC) 720x576, 704x576, 352x576 (PAL/SECAM)
