You don't say nothing about how you encode KVCDs? But if you are in PAL zone, I think you can try first multiplex and burn your KVCD mpeg1 (and mpeg2 also of course) as SVCD, as in this way many DVD players supports any resolution. If this way don't works then you need an avisynth script: Quote:

thanks for the reply but i have no clue what the hell you are talking about in it
it doesnt have to do with the way its burned, even just hooking a laptop into my DVD player and playing a movie on it gives me issues other DVD players play it fine all i would like to know is how to change the framerate without it getting all pixely and unviewable |
We are dealing with advanced techniques here. If you don't know how to use Avisynth, please head over to http://www.avisynth.org and start learning. Come back when you have the basic knowledge about the scripts, unfortunately we don't have the time to teach everyone the very basics.

can we use similar script for 29.97fps to 23.976fps instead of "Converts 60fps Video into 24fps (http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8678)"
|
Yes, you can.

@ Dongxu
29.97 FRAMES per Second is the same as approx. 60 fields per second as in interalced cases you should call it field-based as every field gots unique informations where on progressive sources every FRAME gots unique informations. Thats why progressive sources are more detailed where interlaced sources do got a smoother motion (60 fileds compared to 29.97 frames) http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9808 |

replying with 'you can use avisynth' would have been fine for me or maybe there was a guide somewheres that you could have pointed me to or something |
May good practice is better, but I alway simply use ChangeFPS which do a similar thing as "the number of frames is increased or decreased like in ConvertFPS." it is much fast this way.
