Hi All!

I'm having problems playing my KVCDs on my XD-DV370 from AIWA.

The Player plays the Clips but both, video and audio are very jumpy.
I tried to change the VBV buffer size from 48 to 40 but that didn't make a difference. I tried resolution 576x288. Should I try to change the Bitrate too?
Please help.

Try changing the MIN bit rate to 600Kbps.
If that doesn't do it, you can try re-muxing as SVCD with BBMPEG.
Some people have reported problems with the CQ mode on some players. You can also try encoding as MVBR instead of CQ.

I re-encoded the files with Min. Bitrate 600 kb.
that made it a little better, but the video and audio still jump every 8 seconds or so.
When I used a constant Bitrate of Min. 1150 kb and Max. 1150 kb. the video works fine with kvcd Template. But with these settings the file sizes are just as big as with a standard VCD.

Do you guys think I should increase the min. Bitrate to 800 kb or even more?

I really appreciate your help kwag, so if you have any other suggestions for me, please tell.

I also tried to use MVBR but I didn't know what Min. and Max. Bitrate to use.
