I'm thinking about getting a new DVD player soon, and would like to maintain as much compatibility with KVCD as possible. Specifically, I'd like to be able to play KVCD mpeg-1 at 528x480 and 704x480 (and the appropriate PAL resolution for 25fps sources). Also, I'm going to be getting a DVD burner soon, so I'd like to be able to do KDVD also in the future.

Anyone suggestions for a good overall player that's maximally compatible?

Thanks!

Thanks guys!

Does it play SVCD's as well as VCD's (I have a bunch of SVCD's from before I switched over to KVCD)?

Just one more that plays everything: Cyberhome CH-DVD 402
http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.p...arch&#comments
and costs $50 right now in Radio Shack in USA.

Plays SVCD and you can burn only VOB (nothing else) files on dvd+r... it
will play them. I'm thinking to replace my Panasonic RV-31 with that
Cyberhome. The problem is: what I'm going to do with the Panasonic?
