Hi Hipo

you could try upping the min bitrate, on my standalone (pioneer dv344) I need to use a min of 750 or my audio drops in and out, also try downsampling the audio to 44.1khz if you already haven't as this seems to cause probs on some players.

Just a couple of suggestions to start with.

ok i put minimum bitrate to 750 like u said but and i downmixed to 44.1 and still the same problem...it actually plays back slower and the sound slower in certain scenes. i use the 704x480 template then i set it to 352x240 on tmpenc is that it? or is it my audio settings.
i Use Red-M's guide to creating good VCD's (x2) v0
PLEASE HELP! and thanx anyway URBAN TEC.

Sorry it ddn't help, it was just a shot in the dark.
If you are encoding in mpeg1 you could try burning it as an svcd, or better still encode as mpeg2 in the first place.
