Samsung DVD-S224

Hello everybody.

Made a lot of tests on this machine in the last few days.
Here the results:

KVCD plus (max bitrate 1800), audio 224kpbs = everything's fine

KVCDx3 (528x576, max bitrate 2500), audio 224kpbs = image was f*cked up, audio was fine.

Other resolutions didn't work except 352x288 (as it was stated in the compatibility chart, by the way).

Then -->

KVCDx3 (352x288, max bitrate 2500, default CQ), audio 224kpbs = stuttering image, audio pitch was one tone lower (more or less).

KVCDx3 (352x288, max bitrate 2500, CQ=80), audio 192kpbs = everything's fine(!).

KVCDx3 (352x288, max bitrate 2600, CQ=80), audio 192kpbs = oooh.. this is wonderful(!!). Beautiful image, very good audio; 111 minutes film ("The man who wasn't there") in one CD-R.

Now Kwag can update the chart for this player, I think.. ;)

I'm very satisfied for now, but I think I'll try higher bitrates, just to test the player more.

Any ideas/comments?

Hey noize, I live in Peru and I got the Samsung DVD s223 for christmas. I have looked everywhere for info about this DVD player but all the pages I found are either in spanish or direct me to Samsung latin america. Do you know if the s223 has the same compatibility of the s224?
