The Player should play all the KVCDx3 and KVCD PLUS Templates. It should be availible in Europe (Germany) and it could have a fair price(max 130 €)

Hi Mario.

Did the KVCDx3 Templates with 528x576 resolution work on your Ad L-528???

Mario 01-19-2003 12:10 PM

Bchteam

All of the templates work on my Cuber Home ADL 528. I usually use KVCDx3 528 x 576 - they look great.

Last night I backed up The Deer Hunter (176.39 minutes) on to 2 discs amazing quality!

Bchteam 01-19-2003 12:12 PM

OK.

I found the AD-L 528 for 99 Euro.

How much did you pay Mario???

Mario 01-19-2003 12:22 PM

It's a bargain Bchteam, snap it up!

I paid 99 GBP , 99 Euros is about 60 GBP.

Everything costs more here!!

Thanks Mario.

I'll buy one. :D

Cheap players not always best quality

I used to watch my kvcd's on my cheap Finlux 510, which appears to be the same player as the Cyberhome 2400 (see here).

Then I looked at some of the same movies on a Sony at my girlfriend's place and I was amazed at the difference in quality: where dark areas were blocky on the Finlux, they were smooth on the Sony.

I believe it has to do with the Block Noise Reduction of the Sony, or just a better videochip.

I decided to buy a Sony myself (NS-405 for €229) and the quality improved drastically. They still look a bit better on the Sony of my girlfiend, but that's probably because she also has a Sony 100 Mhz Digital Scan TV, I have a much cheaper Samsung.

So my advise is to look at a movie with night scenes on different kind of players and pay a bit more if you experience the same visual differences.
