Playback problems on Panasonic DMR-E20

Hi Kwag, I know you have one of these machines too, so I'd like to know if you have hit similar playback problems.

I was watching a KVCD movie I encoded about a month ago last night, and at one point hit the reverse search button on the remote by mistake. I was about 50 mins into the movie, and when I hit the reverse button the player skipped back to the beginning of the movie. When I tried to forward search to the point I had already reached, the player skipped like hell for a few seconds then went into stop mode. No matter what I try, I can't restart playback from that point. The chapter points created in VCDEasy don't seem to work, either.

Question: How do I get to that 50 minute point to watch from where I was interrupted, without physically having to watch the entire movie again? Also, has anyone hit similar problems with their DVD players and KVCD movies which are longer than the VCD2.0 spec allows?

ATB, Tachyon.

Hi Tachyon:

I just tried a KVCDx2 in my DMR-E20. You're right!. I can't jump to a chapter or skip forward to next chapters  . What a bummer!.
The movie plays fine from the beginning, and I can fast forward at 40X, but that's it.

It only happens in the DMR-E20, because I have a Panasonic RP-56, and there I can skip and jump to any chapter I want. So I guess it's only in the DMR-E20.
