KDVD Watchable on PC monitor?
I think of buying myself a DVD Burner and I've started experimenting with the settings. Is there a setting which makes a KDVD at CQ 70 look the same as the original DVD? I'd like to watch the movies on my PC and I know the KDVDs aren't optimized for that - or should I stick to 1 movie per DVD (following the doom9 guide for 9GB to 4GB)?

Hi new_bee,
With KDVD Full-D1, you can fit close to 6 hours on a DVD-R and you can hardly tell the difference to the original DVD on your PC or on your standalone player  Make sure you use file prediction. See if you like this on your monitor: http://www.kvcd.net/kdvd-v2-sample.m2v Read here: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic....=asc&start=540 -kwag |
That looks pretty nice but personally I have always hated to wait for so many hours to encode a movie. And this preprocessing does take a lot of time. I don't mind if I can fit only 1 movie on a DVD, but when I do I want it to be ready in 2-3 hours and be of perfect quality. Besides, these tiny flimmering blocks disturb me. You can't see them on a TV set, but on a PC you can...
