Toshiba SD-2500Y not all mp3 playable?
 

We have just purchased a T/SD-2500Y.
I tried to play a CD-r with 126 mp3,the machine recognised only 80 and of these 80 a small number had no sound at all but ticked over the time counter anyway 8O
I reburnt the whole CD-r and found the machine recognised all 126 mp3 but
still a small number ran through soundless :?:
What's the go :?:

Try burning your files on a folder (directory) of your CD-R, and not on the root.

Thanks for your reply kwag.I'm not entirely sure what you mean?So OK,at the moment I'm selecting songs as individual files and then burning them(last time I selected all at once)Are you saying to select them in their folder then burn?This current lot of mp3s are store on a CD-r what do you suggest?

I mean that instead of burning all MP3 files on the root directory of your CD-R, make folders on the CD-R, and in the folders put your MP3s.
Your player could have a limitation on the number of files stored on the root of the CD-R.

Ya! I tried what you said and it worked to a certain degree.There still was a few songs that would not play the sound but still clicked over the counter on the LCD display.I checked with the manufacturers and they said that all files had to end with the MP3 tag to play.Guess what, the files with no sound had no MP3 tag.Basicly Problem solved thanks kwag 8)
