I'm going to burn the sample nero image that kwag made and try that. THis Magnavox plays everyhting I have made so far. It has the same type of interface that Apex uses. Plays VCD, XCVD, ZKVCD, DVD, CD, MP3!

spelling error!@ sorry.
I have not tried the KVCDx3 @ 29.97 fps yet. It fails at 24 fps.
KVCD 352 x240 Plus @ 24fps plays a-ok.

You have two more tries telemike
Encode with KVCDx3 MPEG-2 template with the default resolution. If that doesn't work, change the resolution to 544x480. Either way, burn as non-standard VCD.

I can't do MPEG-2 with TMPGENc....I have not purchased the retail version that does that. MPEG-1 only.

Ok, tried a KVCDx3 @ 29.97 fps and it stil would not play. So,ZI am stuck with 352 x 240 KVCD. That's ok, since I can cram 1 movie onto a CD-R with very good quality.
I will test a KSVCD soon.....

On some of my KVCD's that are captured from my tv tuner card I am getting some skipping and jittering. Possibly bad media or dropped frames from the capture source.

Bingo!!!!!!!!!
Got KVCDx3 to work at 544 x 480, 29.97 fps.!!!
I am finding that KVCD's at 24 fps sometimes have jittery playback. My HDTV does 3:2 pulldown automatically..does that affect it?
I think I am going to do my future encodes at 29.97 fps and lose some compression. Still, doing CQ with KWAG's matrix and GOP work good.
This is a great system on sale at Target for $180
