philips dvd 710 and kvcd
 

hi

i have a philips dvd 710 and am using kvcd and i am happy too report that it works ( partially ) the thing is when i encode a divx movie with tmpeg encoder in 352x240 format using kvcd templates; some movies have problems.

I will try to explain
when using the low bitrate kvcd template i get a movie wich fits on cd but when i play it sometimes half through the movie and sometimes in the beginning the movie pauzes and skips too another part of the movie like it is choking on something. This doesnt happen with all the movies i create but with some

the settings i use while encoding remain the same each movie

352x240 using lbr kvcd template
128kbits audio ( encoded seperatly with besweet )
i am burning the movies as a videocd nonstandard with nero

if anyone can give me some insight as too how i can get all movies to play correct please do.

note: i have tried different firmware`s for my dvd player allready but to no avail

finally i have solved the problem with my philips dvd player

actually it was quit simple everything checks out fine what i did but i had too adjust vbv too 48 and the min bitrate too 400 to get it to work

the philips dvd 710 is compatible with the following all kvcd formats except the kvcdx3 and skcxd templates :D
