my DVD Player only Plays VCDs?

Ok so my dvd player only plays vcds. When I downlaod svcds, i have to do the conversion of turning it into a vcd using the trick. So my question is, with ksvcd will it work in my dvd player and if not, is it possible to convert with some kind of trick to turn the ksvcd into a standard kvcd?

My dvd player is a panasonic RV-31

Try applying the header trick as you would with any SVCD.
