Hi All,

I have the NAPA DAV 311 player and I am able to play VCD's made with NERO but I am not very happy with the results. I get a lot of jumping and hesitating and the sound is never in synch. Anyway, I just found out about the KVCD templates today and I did a search on this player and I did not find any info... Will the KVCD templates work for me?

Thanks

I am going to try it out this weekend and I will post my results... I know that this isn't the best player but I have it and I want to use it!

I tried the CD Image for Nero and my NAPA DAV 311 did recognize the disc as a VCD, however, playback was terrible... It froze up and the screen went green and lots of other awful things... I am going to try the disc in a friends DVD player tonight to see if it works there.....

But did you try all the tracks on the CD , because there's a clip made at each different resolution

I had some computer "issues" recently... anyway, the NAPA DAV 311 won't play any of the kvcd templates properly... oh well... It won't even play a regular VCD properly... My friends Sony (Sorry don't know the model number) played all files on the test cd really well...

Now I need to buy a DVD player the gf will not be happy when I tell her that... oh well......

Any recommendations? I know the Hitachi DVP-323 is compatible, what about the RCA DRC220N? It is on sale for 100 bucks (CDN), I would love to get a good player for that much....

Thanks

Your best bet is to take the compatibility CD to the store, and try it out on different models

Edit: Here's a hint I got from another site:
"So before you buy any DVD check the specifications and do not forget the line usually at the end of the user manual that reads: Specifications subject to change without notice. Take a test CD with you and ask to test the DVD, if somebody starts to complain just point that line."
