KVCD on Philips DVD623

So far, I've tested 352x240, 352x480, and 528x480, all MPEG-1.

352x240: Works great! Woohoo!
352x480: Stutters :(
528x480: Audio plays fine...but that's all that happens...

544? Which template should I modify to use that horiz res? Or should I just use that in ToK?

Just set up your avisynth script to use that resolution, and ToK will encode it :)

I have this DVD player. Here's my results
ULBR-works
LBR-works
352x240-works
352x480 works but have to encode as mpeg-2,mux as mpeg-2
704x480 stutters so tried it as mpeg-2 still stuttered.
kvcdx3 mpeg-1 and mpeg-2-doesn't work at all
352x288-works
haven't tried any other pal templates.

Unable to see KVCD format on Philips DVD 623

I've tested only 352x288 pal MPEG-1 with TOK default settings.

I am able to read the disc. The movie even starts playing, but after some time it starts having hiccups. The movie freezes for a sec replays the same frame a cuple of times and continues playing from there.
This will occur many times during the movie and may even result in freezing permanently the dvd player, which I need to power off the player (not always on the first try) to get it work again.

I read on this thread that it should work on the Philips dvd player.
So what might be the problem.

Thanks.

ps. The movies are multiplexed with Tmpgenc or bbmpeg. The discs are written using VCDEasy and Nero.
