KVCD: Screwy video - kinda jumpy, but audio was fine?

ok i tried the KVCDx3 template, and tried different variations.
all i did was load it into TMPGEnc and fiddle with the settings. No Moviestacker nor ToK.

the 1st one) i did it at 544x480, and CQ60, VBV = 0.
the 2nd one) changed it to 576x480, all others kept same
3rd) just tried it with TMPGEnc 2.58, rather than 2.513
4) tried it at CBR, rather than CQ. and had it set at 1180 kb/s
5) tried Motion Search, rather than High Quality like i did for all prior.

and heres thje results
#1) music jumped, same with video
#2)same
#3)same
#4)video played pretty well, kinda jumpy, but audio was fine
#5)played the smoothest, and audio was fine

any1 help!!

Hi EnNiS,

Have you burned the KVCD compatibility image to a CD-R, and tried it on your player, so you can test various resolutions and see which play on your standalone DVD player :?:
If you haven't, get it on the "What's happening" section of the forum. Make sure you download Version 2.

thank you very much

Using the Nero image, I guess I need to use 2352 byte block size?

Thanks,

Matt...

Hi Matt,

When you open the image with Nero, just leave the default settings.
Just proceed to burn the image as it is.

Thanks... the download from the URL above is only 400k, this is way too small, surely? Could someone look at this please?

In the meantime, I'm encoding right now to burn a test disc for my Scan 440-LSi player, will report compatibility when I have the info.

The KVCD Compatibility image is available on the E-Donkey network.
Just search for: kvcd-compat-v2.nrg
Use E-Mule or any other client that is compatible with the network to download.
