Ksvcd & Svcd playback issues!

I got a dvd player that plays all vcd kvcd svcd ksvcd ect ect
But the problem is when i make svcd or Ksvcd it will only think the disc is 36 mins long max when most svcd's are like 40 ta 50 mins
When i burn i'll burn 45 min discs & they only read as 36 mins,
WHY OH WHY IS THIS HAPPENIN ?
vcd & kvcd read all fine but why the Svcd & Ksvcd issue?
I have a jvc XV-S502
Help anyone ?
