KVCD looked a lot worse than video on computer?
i don't know if this is a problem or not, but i just played a sample i recently encoded with Tok on my tv and it looked a lot worse than it did when i played it on my computer.
isn't it supposed to be the other way around :?:  |

What resolution did you encode, and what was your CQ :?: -kwag |
hey kwag,
my resolution was 528x480 - PAL, but my tv can play ntsc resolutions :D my cq was about 51.2, movie length was just under 2 hours |
If your player and TV can play NTSC, did you also encode at 23.976fps instead of 25fps :?:
|
no, i just encoded at 25 fps
could this be the problem  |

Try a small clip first to see if 23.976fps plays smoothly  -kwag |
ok, will do
thanks mate  |
yes! my tv plays 23.976 smoothly, and now i get a higher cq and better quality :D :D
i never guessed that a small change like that could do so much :!: thanks kwag :) |
