Bought it here for $149.00 http://www.daveswebshop.com/st3618.shtml
And I'll be able to receive this for free http://www.global-cm.net/MPEGlistwest.html
( That's only a partial list )

Here you go
This is better than a picture ( ~15MB)
http://www.kvcd.net/dvb.mpg
A picture is worth a thousand words, but a movie clip is worth a million words
That was captured with my Panasonic DMR-E80, via Composite video.
The capture is from FX channel, MPEG-2, with my new "cheap" DVB receiver. Not bad for a $149.00 receiver

Really nice.

I looked at the outputs at the back .... maybe I'm totally confused now cause Im really not that in Sat Reciver knowledge (i'm still capturing using an analog capture card cause I have'nt Sat signal at home):
What about delivering the digital audio Data to an DolbyDecoding Device?
I don't see any Digital Audio outputs?

Hi incredible,

This particular model doesn't have AC3 or any digital output.
There are other receivers, much more expensive, that do have this feature.
But I'm very happy with this receiver as it is, specially for the price
BTW, now we can see one of our favorite channels again ( DW-TV | Deutsche Welle )
They have programs in english and spanish.
I used to receive that channel on C-Band, but it was removed from C-Band programming.
Right now, I am receiving stations from Japan ( some are in english ) and CCTV from china ( also one channel is in english ). So this is really very cool
For you, being further east than me, you'll have a larger FTA (free-to-air) selection, because DVB is more popular in europe than in the states. So DVB is a big thing on your side of the world. Just take a look on Lyngsat www.lyngsat.com
Here are FTA stations from Germany: http://www.lyngsat.com/freetv/Germany.shtml
Also, take a look here: http://www.lyngsat.com/freetv/Europe.shtml

I saw this Channel also in Hospital in Costa Rica the whole time . The Headquaters are here in my city - Cologne - and the GirlFriend I had before, was working there. A Friend of mine is working in a Design Agency in Hamburg and created in a Team the new Logo. ..... That's what I can say about "Deutsche Welle"

Refering to Digital audio it was just a thought ...so as you are I would be happy too

Thanks for the Sat hints!

Yes, it's a great station. And now I can see it in digital, because the original C-Band feed was analog. Even though the satellite transponder was very strong, there was some small visible noise spots, some times. Now, it's crystal clear

Hi kwag:

Do you also receive Southamerican channels? I guess that I can look at the Ku Sat guide and see the availibility of free channels. Need to surf the internet to check.
What is your set up? Do you have a rotor to go from sat channel to sat channel? (Controling azimuth and elevation?)I use to have a C band dish sometime ago, but it was difficult to keep up during wind conditions, the antenna was large and I culd have used it as a sail, in the concrete boat that one time or another I was planning to build.... But that is another story

Thanks and best regards

Otto
