Two Toshibas not on the chart
Anyone know if either the SD-v291 or the SD-1950 will play KVCDs? I know that they're both VCD compatible, are they not on the KVCD compatibility chart because they won't play them or because nobody has tried yet? :?
I'm just learning about these things and am very excited at the idea of fitting a whole movie on one CD. :D |
Welcome ZTM,
Go here: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2464 And download the Compatibility CD Image, and try it out on your player. I assume you have one of these DVD models ( SD-v291, SD-1950 ) :?: -kwag |
I have one and my Sister has the other, but they're Christmas presents so I can't test them out until then. :x I was hoping that maybe someone would know so that I could get started converting and burning and what not.
It would suck to have a bunch of KVCDs just to find out that I can't play them. |
The SD - 1950 plays KVCDs if anyone wants to add it to the chart. I still haven't tried the other one yet. 8)
***edited to add*** It played all six clips in the compatability test you provided the link for. :) I can tell you that the other DVD player I mentioned plays KVCD as well but I won't know until some time next week if it'll play all six as well (I assume it will though because it had no problem playing a few KVCDs that played with no audio on mine). |
