Toshiba SD-2800 compatibility
Hi,
I just picked up a Toshiba SD-2800 to replace my Apex 1100W. I had originally gotten a Sony NS-300, but returned it for the Toshiba after it wouldn't play KVCDs at 24fps, or even the 30fps ones that my Apex plays fine. I suspect, after further research here, that it doesn't like my CDR media. So, for $10 more I got this one. However, it doesn't do much better. It plays my 30fps KVCDs, but all I get is audio for 24fps ones. The screen displays either the welcome screen or an image (somewhat visible but frozen) behind a bunch of jagged horizontal colored lines. I dled and tried (CDRW) all the original KVCD samples, and I had just created one with KVCD Plus 352x480, muxed as VBR VCD in bbMPEG. MY CDRW media is Acer, my CDR is Prime Peripherals. Any ideas on what I can do to make this work? Not too many other (affordable) choices at Video Only that might work. Thanks, Geoff |
Hey Geoff, why did you change the Sony NS-300 8O
That model plays ALL KVCD templates! Maybe the problem was your media  -kwag |
