WinDVD magenta screen...
 

i downloaded WinDVD 5 since people on this forum recomend it over Power DVD... but when ever i try to play kvcds or mpg files all i get is a magenta (purple-ish color) screen... this doesnt happen when i try to play avi files the sound is ok though...

i have winxp and the winDVD is not registered...

a very strange thing happened today... i installed winDVD sometime back and it gave the above stated problem... so i didnt use it in a while... then today i put in a kvcd and the picture appeared... it played fine till i stopped and tried to play again... and then it went back to the magenta screen...

what have i done wrong? someone please help because fom those few minutes i could clearly see that the playback quality was better than PowerDVD...
