First at all, ask yourself if you encode this movie in some different way than previously.
If you don't resolve your problem in that way, analyze your movie with bitrate viewer and take a look, searching for btr too high or too low (under 300), maybe this is the reason of your problem.
Do you still have the problem? Give us some more information.

See you.

You probably encoded your audio at 48Khz instead of 44.1Khz.

Tried it with an 44.1 mp2 but still the same problem.

The audio chubs and the video sometimes slows a little.

Damn an encoding problem ???? no problem when viewed on my computers cd reader.

Help me plaese same script but not all my kvcd has that problem

I think that you are testing with same cdrw. Change for other please, so discard media failure.

I have a similar problem when I play my own encoded KVCD on my Kiss DP-500. Playback from CD is choppy and a little bit too slow.

When I play the file streaming via the network (a thing a Kiss DP-500 allows you to do :D ) the file plays fine. I therefore conclude that it is not a muxing or an encoding problem.

Can it be a burning problem. I have burnt the files using Nero 6.

I have found what the problem was!

The audio was 48KHz. Appearantly this is a non-standard sample frequency. It caused the slowed down audio.

I recoded the audio with HeadAC3he to 44.1 KHz. De movie plays fine, no choppy video and no slow audio

very nice,
i saw lots of people with 48Khz problems before too...
and it's strange cos 48Khz is dvd compliance!

please, answer me only to remove doubts.
was used headac3he to get the first audio 48Khz or another encoder :?:
and what source ? ( wave,ac3,mp3,..etc??? )

thanks in advance!

jeewee...welcome in forum :!:

I used HeadAC3he and the input data was a AC3 audio stream.

I found out about this when I used VCDEasy to make the VCD image file. VCDEasy reported that the 48kHz sample rate was not standard compliant for VCD's. I recoded the audio to 44.1 kHz and voila: no problems

all right and thanks....very clear!

hint..(if i can call it hint) :

my 2 players works perfect using 48K.....
I used VCDEasy to make the VCD image file too,
VCDEasy reported that the 48kHz sample rate was not standard compliant for VCD's
and i simple "ignore" the advice and do the image....
i think that with some players works with 48k others don't like it!
