Line Flickers On HDTV?

Whats up again :D

O-K i have a 36' Samsung HDTV and i've been experiencing a flickering during my movies using your 352x240 NTSCFilm plus template. It's just a minor flicker horizontially across the top of movie. An example would be if there was a scene with a close-up, the flicker would be around the actors forehead. This line goes straight acorss the screen, it's not partial or half.

This isn't really that annoying to me,(only during high actions scenes it gets worse)but i was just curious if there's a way to fix this? I've done other conversions of (s)vcds before your templates, and this is only happening with yours? Any info you could give me would be appreciated....Maybe it's something i could fix in TMPG? :?:

Once again...Thanx for all your help!

P.S. The one thing that really sux about HDTV's, is you pick up or notice those dam macro blocks even more than a normal tube t.v!!! :x

Hey lvWSTATICWvl,

Yeah!, I know what you mean about the HDTV. But then, on the other hand, you can also pick which DVD's are good and which are mastered like trash  .
I also have a Samsung 32" HDTV, but I have never experienced what you are describing, so I guess it would have to do with the DVD player.
Are you using S-Video to your TV or Component output? I use Component. My DVD player hooked up to the HDTV is Panasonic RP-56.
BTW: I use the HDTV for quality checks, before I post any templates. Because if it looks good on a HDTV, I'm 99% sure it will look excelent on just about every TV out there
