The same thing happens to me, and I don't know why either, but if you do the extra step of frameserving it to Tmpgenc thru Virtualdub, then it should be ok. YMMV.

GFR, changing 352x352 to 352x360 does make it, to the best of my measuring ability, about the same height as the dvd. But just how did you come up with this particular number?

What do you mean it doesn't work? I use Nero or CloneCD to make copies of vcd, svcd, xvcd, and of course, kvcd, all the time. What burning software are you using?
