When possible, convert SVCD->KVCD rather than DivX/XViD->KVCD. The quality will be outstanding (assuming the svcd was done well and at a decent bitrate). I recently converted a SVCD cartoon using the...

Stupid question, but what are the correct parameters to Sampler() for a 10% clip? In the past, Sampler(length=24) has been the default used for a full size clip... is it as simple as...

No, overlap will still put in borders (to preserve aspect ratio), but it does it by simply clipping out 16 pixels from each edge of the screen. This is opposed to the 'resize' method, where the movie...

Yep, this program is great. Thanks for putting in both methods of overscan (resize vs. overlap)! I'm a big fan of the overlap method, and this program puts out perfect avs files.

Just a couple counter points after doing a few SVCD to KVCD conversions myself:

1. I've always loaded all SVCD files into DVD2AVI and processed the audio/video into a single file. Though the...

Not sure I see the real difference there, except where the 'work' is being done (GripSize vs. GripCrop). After using FaeryDust() on a few samples, I'd always jump for the one that is going to be...

The Letterbox line will make 16-pixel black borders left and right before GripCrop sees the clip. GripCrop will then crop these...

I'll place this here, though I'm sure anyone could potentially code this... SansGrip just seems to find the time. With the new AVS scripts using FaeryDust() and C3D, the time to create samples has...

SansGrip,
For your Signs sample, your .avs makes use of telecide()/decimate(). Is there a reason why you did this instead of simply using Force FILM in DVD2AVI?
