Avisynth: What about a not-so-clean dvd?

Hello, I am having trouble with The Tuxedo, the new Jacky Chan movie.
My version is Pal, Full screen and I`m using the latests 2.5 script.
There are some scenes during the movie that looks noisy...

Avisynth makes movies look soft?

I don`t particualarly like the new optimal script, it makes movies look soft, it changes the original colours of movies eg. look at the whites, and its slower compared to some off the older scripts....

Hello, I`ve been muxing m1v files with great success,now I wanted to start playing with m2v(by accident found that my encoding time is shorter
and I can push my Cq higher with Svcd, funny but true)....

I tried that , thanks for the info, strange thing the d2v file created is wrong because it doesn`t display the true time off the mpeg file so when re-encoding it only encodes the set time.
