now to throw this in the mix.. on my standalone it decides to play TOO FAST :lol:

sort of like an old movie going quickly.. the audio is in sync, but slightly high pitched. it...

hmmm..

ok I have a Zenith DS5512NC. It simply does not like SVCDs. Vcds will play, but not SVCDs, no matter what i use to write them or what media (cdrw/cdr/cheap/good)..

is this a problem for...

Seems that your player doesn't like the MAX bit rate you are using :idea:
Try some samples and encode with 200Kbps or 300Kbps lower than your current MAX. See if you can find what MAX your player...

Okay, I've run some more tests (i must have the most craptacular dvd player in this region) 8)

528x480 at 1150kbps? :? Going to try adjusting CQ..

Can run 528 with CQ of 40 @ 2500kbps.. ...

kvcdx3 (resized to 352x) = choppamatic

thanks for the input, k. I had done some tests down to 1500, but to no avail :bawl: i went back to mpeg-1 and tried lowering the resolution

ok one more thing :lol: this whole thread will be just myself HAHA

the sound has glitches when it is going choppy.. hard to describe.. like squeaks but clipping.. like an amplified laser-read,...
