Bitrates: CQ values dropping as it encodes?

I started the full encode last night at 2am, I went to be, I woke up at 11:30am, and it was still running perdictions? any clue why, CQ had started at 60, and it was currently at 40.42 when I woke...

The night before I did the same thing with ToK...

The night before I did the same thing with ToK instead, except I used Mpeg2, and it still came out at 859MG final, and not able to be burned =/
