Thanks for that, i actually knew that but i forgot so you jogged my memory, i also rememberd having to change the name from .wav to .ac3 when extracting with virtualdub.

everything works fine now...

AC3 audio with Tmpgenc?

I seem to get this problem regularly with my system.

I'm not that new to kvcd, and i used to have no issues with ac3 audio but when i use tmpgenc to extract the audio from a divx/xvid file it wont...

I thought this myself, but it also happens when i simply put a vcd disk in to my drive and copy it to the hard drive.

These are VCD's that work no problem as i converted them to vcd before i knew...

renaming the AVSEQ01.dat to AVSEQ01.mpg works...

renaming the AVSEQ01.dat to AVSEQ01.mpg works however when i play the file on the pc i get green blocks all over the screen.

I know this means a codec problem but before i encoded the file to vcd...

TMPGEnc: mp2 file has no sound

Im a little confused about something!

I tried to convert the sound of an avi movie to .mp2 which worked ok, however when i play the .mp2 file there is no sound.

I tried to do the same thing...

I have a project that is 2 cds at present, and i want to convert them to 1 kvcd obviously or i wouldnt be here :D .

Hi there, last night i followed black princes guide to convert DVD to KVCD. i will be honest and say i stopped up to a certain point to use TMPGEnc to merge the files together.

The only reason why i do it this way is because i sometimes get a film that is 2 files or in some cases 3 files.

I get bored of having to change the disks halfway trough a film...

Is there a small program that will tell you if a film is encoded in vcd/svcd/kvcd etc?

If so where can i get it?

All i know is when i open my movie in power dvd it tells me its an mpeg-1 which...

You can use TMPGEnc to merge the 2 file together...

You can use TMPGEnc to merge the 2 file together if they are in .mpg format, then you will have 1 .mpg file.

You then convert that file to dvd.

Simple

I may be wrong but according to Dialhot you will nead a minimum of version 5.05.

Version 5.02 is earlier to 5.05 so i suggest updating,

You can download the latest free divx player and codecs...

TMPGEnc: Wont extract audio at all!

For some reason TMPGEnc wont extract the audio of my avi movies.

If i load an avi movie in to the program which works with no problems and then start the converting process and then open the mpg...
