you are probably trying 720/704x480/576, i presume, well anyways simple answer ur dvd players dont accept tht resolution for mpeg1, i have the same problem, and always use the resolution 528x480

upto 5 sample tests - 40 to 60 mb each
final encode.

for eg..

320x240/288 - 4:3 mpeg 1 & 2
320x480/576 - 4:3 16:9 anamorphic mpeg 1 & 2
480x480/576 - 4:3 16:9...

ok, i use ur tool, works fine.. gr8.. for the 2000mb size, then i use it again, for the same size... it works fine again... now i got 2 dvd...
