So that's why you always end up encoding to a 4:3 (720*576 for PAL) proportion independently of the target...

So if it's an option and I had to encode from wav (two channel stereo) I suppose best choice would be based on size. Would stereo ac3 be smaller than mp2?

I've more doubts on resolution and aspect...

Templates at kvcd.net are 720*576 (PAL) or 720*480 (NTSC) so I imagine I keep 720*576 for now.

What about framerate? I thought 25 fps was correct for PAL but I keep finding posts stating 29.xxx is...

What to change in the guides (KDVD instead of KVCD)

Hi all,

Time ago I managed to convert some avis I had to KVCD looking at the fine guides at kvcd.net. Result was quite good.

Now I've got a dvd recorder so I'd like to convert these same avis...
