You mean that among the dozens of parameter of x264 some of them are not to configure the result itself, but to filter the source you are encoding ?
And what about resizing ? You don't resize ?...

Personnaly, I did not start to encode in h264...
Personnaly, I did not start to encode in h264 yet. Despite my 2.23Ghz dual core I still find .264 encode too long. And of course BD-RE price does not worth the pain. CD are definitively out imho,...
